I import trips from my TripIt calendar, but get "You're already at home for this event" - is this because the city is too close to my home city, and if so, how do I override this?

Can this be made to support repeating events?

I have a regular trip in my google calendar, but dopplr will only accept the first occurence... which is a right pain!

I did the import from Gcal, and it recognizes the trip I added there, but the trip doesn't actually get added for me in Dopplr. It says "You're already at home for this event". ??

How do we import past trips? I attempted to follow the GMAIL Calendar ICAL sync, but all the events state "This event is in the past" If I have to update 130 calendar items, I will miss out on calculating my real impact for 2008. The nice PDF file I received reminded me to start tracking auto travel moving forward. I had only been tracking flights... Is there another way to get a base import and use sync moving forward? I have CSV and ICAL files ready to import, but I dont have a way to upload them do it?
Thank You so much for this service.

Dopplr states that the ical link will be updated "regularly" there is also a refresh link. I clicked the link a few times and refreshed the page, but nothing seems to be happening.

Can you be more precise on the interval and how to trigger a refresh?

Excellent feature! My only suggestion for improvement would be to allow individual selection/approval of trips when they're imported. Maybe a checkbox for each trip and Select All/Select None buttons, to allow for situations one wouldn't want imported (local travel, personal vs business, etc). Just a thought :) Keep up the great work!

Hi,

I travel weekly, and my calendar is usually chock full of those codified verbiage from the travel agents (not sure if it's the ABACUS format?). Example:

1 CX 463M 25AUG 1*TPEHKG HK1 0625 0800 /DCCX*LF47J /E
2 CX 368M 25AUG 1 HKGPVG*HK1 0850 1120 /DCCX*LF47J /E
4 CA 195K 29AUG 5 PVGTPE HK1 1250 1600 /DCCA*CXBT2 /E

Can Dopplr interpret these for us and parse it correctly for the calendar? Because already I need to manually put it into Google calendar (where my wife and family go to see it), and Dopplr consistently gets the locations wrong when I try to import that calendar here (similar problem as a previous commenter).

Thanks!

Tom, we don't import trips in the past. I've passed along your suggestion that we do that.

Polle, I'm not sure how we can do what you suggest. But I'll make sure our development folks see it.

Tom, I'm not sure if the calendar import brings in past trips. Let me check into that.

how do i re-do this and import trips that have already occurred? dopplr didn't do this right the first time. it missed some trips, duplicated others, etc. i'd like to be able to compute my carbon correctly, and now with the public profiles, i'd like my past trips to be correct there too.

i went ahead and deleted the calendar and all past trips, and then added the calendar again. but dopplr said no trips were found. also, on my public profile, it does say that i have had no trips, yet the raumzeitgeist still lists some of my past trips.
