Look out for your Dopplr Personal Annual Report

They’re being sent out now – you’ll get an entry in your Dopplr Journal, and an email both with a link to where you can download the report generated just for you.

Also, you’ll notice a new micro-feature – suggesting existing Dopplr users you might know.

    Dopplr is very slow for me today. Could the report be the reason?

    The annual reports look very nice and are a great idea. It seems they don’t take change of home city into account though. Once you changed your home city during last year, all previous trips to that destination are not accounted for anymore.

    annual report.

    i got the e-mail but deleted it, and now I can;t (easily) find the annual report. Perhaps a link from the user’s main pages would be helpful!

    There’s a permanent link to the report in your Journal – if you look under January 20th on http://www.dopplr.com/traveller/me/journal/2009/01 then you should see an entry for it, “Your Personal Annual Report for 2008 is ready”.

    This is so cool! Definitely my favorite thing that you guys have done so far, I both gained a good deal of insight and am thinking of framing it on my wall since it’s so beautiful :)

    There is one error on mine though where html tags show up in the tip section, why is the tip section really there actually? It’s in the past right?

    Yes, we had a bad case of overloaded servers when the reports first went out. We’re monitoring it closely and it’s mostly back to normal now.

    I added some trips to the previous year, but they are not in my report. Will the report be refreshed at some point?

    Can the report being generated dynamically? I’ve added some missing trips for last year but the report isn’t updated. Or could a kind admin trigger an update for me please?

    I too added past trips I took before I signed up for dopplr last week to have everything from last year in the site so I could get a carbon count.

    Is there any way my report can be generated again to take into account the trips from earlier in the year?

    Anyone from Dopplr can to comment on generating a NEW annual report after adding trips? I started using Dopplr in October but a few weeks ago while waiting at an airport I added all my trips for 2008, I would now like to create a NEW annual report showing those trips.

    Since this seems to be a popular request on here maybe someone from Dopplr could answer us?

    We’ve had quite a few requests for another run of reports, for those who’ve filled in their trips since the new year. We’re collecting usernames and we’ll do another one-off run at some point in February. Please add your username here if you’d like your account to be part of that.

    Hi, I would also like to regenerate my report. Why don’t you just make a button to regenerate it, or generate it dynamically when you press the link?

    Erik,

    Unfortunately the reports take too much processing time to regenerate on our webservers — the initial run for all our travellers took about a week of nonstop processing to generate. This is why we’re collecting names before doing one more batch run for people who missed out.
